Untold Stories of Hong Kong Launch Event

Date: 10th Dec 2023 (Sun)
Time: 2-4pm
Venue: TriAngle (306, David C Lam Building, Hong Kong Baptist Univeristy)

“Untold Hong Kong Stories” is a research project that documents the voices of the marginalised in Hong Kong. A group of researchers from AVA, ENG, HMW, and TIIS, who work together in the Minority Studies/Marginalised Populations Studies Faculty Niche Research Area group, aspire to capture the voices of the marginalised and make them visible to the public via various forms of storytelling.

With the launch, the research group is releasing a series of podcasts that document the lives of 10 interviewees from Hong Kong communities. We will also share the comic stories created by 10 local Hong Kong Artists based on the podcast series. Participants will be able to speak to the interviewees and the comic artists (interactive experience akin to a “human library”) while enjoying refreshments.
